|Hello Escondido Soccer Club and FC Heat families,
|It seems that the year is flying by as the competitive teams are nearing the end of their regular seasons. SDDA of course has it’s showcase events and Presidio has approximately 3 games left before they start planning the Presidio Cup. Many of our competitive teams are sitting high in the league although they are playing at the top levels.
State and National Cup are next on the agenda for both groups, but there will be a small break for the high school soccer season to kick in. Remember, if you have players playing high school, then you cannot have them playing club, that’s just the way it works. High school has always been priority.
The week before last we hosted our All-Star Tryouts at Ryan Park and had a large number of Recreational players nominated for this. Teams have now been selected and practices will be starting mid-November. These teams will be representing Escondido Soccer Club in at least three local tournaments within San Diego County and we look forward to watching them play.
To be selected to tryout for All-Stars is an honor in itself, as coaches watch these players all season and nominate the better players in the Rec divisions. All-Stars is the next step up on the ladder so to speak, and a place where these players really excel. Many competitive coaches and scouts watch these tournaments looking to recruit players for next season. At Escondido Soccer Club we are proud to say that many of our highly competitive stars once played for All-Stars. These same players are now getting scouted by academies and colleges, which proves the system is working. Good luck to all you All-Star players!
This brings us right into 2018 and planning for Spring League fun – see flyer below…

OUR 2017 RECREATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR!
Our Recreational Coach of the Year will be voted on starting today November 1st through November 14th, 2017.
If you were impressed with your child’s Rec coach this season then vote for them, give them a chance to become Coach of the Year. Many of our Recreational Coaches of the Year eventually move through to Competitive coaching by improving their licensing and working alongside one of our more seasoned coaches.
To vote for your choice of Recreational Coach of the Year, you can either go to our Escondido Soccer Club Website or Click Here to vote
One vote per e-mail address and coaches cannot vote for themselves. It is also always great to see other coaches voting on their peers.
Votes will be tallied and the trophy will be given to your coach of choice at our End of Season Party at the end of the year.

PARKING AT RYAN PARK
During one of our competitive games a few weeks ago, one of our young players broke her arm and the ambulance and fire department came to attend to her injuries. She is now doing fine. However, the fire department could not maneuver their truck around our parking lot because of cars parked out of the parking spaces on the curb line. This is a fire lane and a no parking zone. When it affects the health and safety of our children we should abide by the rules. Please refrain from parking in those areas. Thank you.

DO YOU KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED IN SPONSORING OUR CLUB?
As you all know, Escondido Soccer Club including FC Heat Elite is a non-profit organization. We are always looking to raise money for new programs for our players and their families. Sponsorship, especially corporate sponsorship is always needed. The amount of money we as a club spend in just keeping the wheels turning sometimes boggles the mind. Our goal is always to break even, but in today’s economy this sometimes becomes difficult to achieve.
If you or your company would be interested in sponsoring our club, please talk to Michaela Krams our Director of Marketing.
