John has been living in San Diego County for over 28 years. He moved here after a long and distinguished professional playing career. He has been involved in soccer all his life, mostly as a professional player (17 years). He played for five professional teams in England and the United States. As well as being a former player, he has been a player agent, and TV and radio analyst. |
John played at the International level for his birth country Northern Ireland and was also the youngest professional head coach in English soccer in the seventies.
Although John's professional career has long since passed, he is still fully involved in youth soccer on a daily basis. He is still very active coaching at the State ODP level, the Presidio competitive level, and his popular soccer camps. He has obtained the highest possible licensees available with the US National "A", the US National "Y", and his English coaching license. He is currently the Regional head coach for Cal South in San Diego County, and ODP staff head coach with numerous Regional Championships. |
