After playing as a goalkeeper at University of San Diego High (now Cathedral), Brian moved north to the Bay Area, graduating from Homestead High School. He continued playing at De Anza College, where he was a member of a state Championship team and two Final Four qualifying teams in the mid-1990’s.
After playing, he continued to work with the sport as a graduate assistant, and after a few short stints assisting youth teams in the early 2000’s he found his way to Escondido Soccer Club, where he has coached in the Recreational program for 6 years, and served as a division Commissioner for the past 4. He is the Head Coach for San Pasqual High School’s JV girls’ soccer team, and Varsity Assistant coach, since 2013.
Brian is committed to teaching young people the beauty of soccer, to love and respect the game as he has. Brian’s focus is on teaching young players to enjoy the game, develop technical skills, and to understand how the game flows to enhance tactical awareness and encourage good decision-making.
Furthermore, he works hard to stay abreast of the modern game, to develop players to be successful throughout their playing careers and beyond. Brian has three children with his lovely wife, Jamie, and has been proud to call Escondido home for the past 12 years.
